LOCATION: Chiang Mai, THAILAND
CAMP: Maetaman Elephant Camp
Punpetch was born at the Maetaman Elephant Camp. His favorite activity is lounging under shade trees and rubbing his body against the tree trunk. This seems to give him much enjoyment as does eating bananas, sugar cane, and fresh green grass. What Punpetch does not like are cats. He will stamp his feet and whip his trunk around if one is near. Khun Mo-thula believes that this is because of cats similar appearance and way of moving to tigers and how they move.
Punpetch has a very unique style of painting. He joins Duanpen as one of the few abstract pointillist artists to date. After about only three months of training, Punpetch began to understand composition. Just give him a brush and he will fill the paper or canvas with dots and not stop until the canvas is completely covered. He uses a specific brush with bright, vibrant colors and somehow knows to apply just the right amount of pressure.
